A gifted orator, Mr. Kennedy has lectured on trial advocacy topics for the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Florida Bar's Statewide Continuing Legal Education Program, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Additionally, in 2005, Mr. Kennedy was one of only 50 trial lawyers in the country chosen to attend fabled trial lawyer Gerry Spence's, The Trial Lawyers College at Spence's ranch in Dubois, Wyoming. Mr. Kennedy called his time studying with Gerry Spence and some of America's premier trial lawyers as "a life changing and career changing event of a lifetime."

When not representing clients, Mr. Kennedy enjoys spending time with his wife, Sycrid (pronounced, SEE-krid), and their two children, Carsyn and Zak. Mr. Kennedy is an avid outdoorsman and also a musician, and is a retired certified relative work coach, instructor, and evaluator for Skydive University. He is a former member of "Deguello", the Texas State 16-person formation skydiving team, has competed at the national level in skydiving, and has been on several world record formation skydiving attempts. Mr. Kennedy and his wife are also firm believers in helping to serve others and those who have little. Both he and Sycrid have independently journeyed to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil to do mission work with the Amazon Outreach project.
